Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

1. Introduction

InstantLore is a desktop application designed for offline worldbuilding. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how it is used. Our company is based in Finland, and we adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable European Union data protection laws.

2. Data We Collect

Because InstantLore is designed as an offline-first application, the data you create (such as maps, lore entries, and templates) is stored entirely locally on your own device. We do not transmit or store your worldbuilding data on our servers.

If you choose to use our optional AI generation features, specific text prompts you submit are sent securely to our AI providers to generate the requested content. These prompts are not used to train our AI models and are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use Vercel Analytics on this website to collect basic, anonymized telemetry (such as page views and general location) to help us understand how our website is used and how we can improve it. This data does not personally identify you.

3. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data we hold about you. Because we do not store your local data or require an account for basic usage of the application, the personal data we hold is extremely limited (e.g., if you contact support via email). To exercise these rights, please contact us.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

5. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us at instantloreapp@gmail.com.
